The Palestinian ethic of education, the history of Entrepreneurialism, and the discipline valued by culture and family tradition -all of these factors contribute to the widely recognized productivity of the Palestinian workforce. fully one quarter of the workforce is self-employed, remarkable testimony to the culture's initiative, imagination, and competitive spirit.

In a comprehensive and comparative study based on 1993 data, Palestine's productivity was found to be more than twenty times greater than Vietnam's ,nine times greater than china's and India's, three times that of Egypt, and one-and-a-half times greater then Russia's .It average productive was similar to Jordan's and turkey's.  

Palestine’s finest treasure is its people. Palestinians are highly skilled, ambitious, well educated and many have international experience. Furthermore, many Palestinians go on to receive higher education.  Each year Palestine has close to 7,500 graduates with postgraduate degrees in all academic and vocational streams. The Palestinian workforce is a sophisticated one and has been known to be productive, competitive and versatile.

Employment
The steady growth of the Palestinian economy has resulted in a huge demand for human resources. By early 2000, Palestinian employment had risen considerably, to where the employment ratio has reached about 63.8%. In the year 2003, the Palestinian labor force is expected to expand to 74.9% with the forecasted continuous increase in the GDP and GNP.
